Rice Transplanter Jajar Mampu Mengatasi Kelangkaan Tenaga Kerja Tanam

Salah satu strategi untuk mengatasi ancaman kelangkaan tenaga kerja di bidang pertanian adalah dengan penerapan mekanisasi pertanian, salah satunya mesin tanam bibit padi rice transplanter jajar legowo prototipe II.

Penerapan alat dan mesin pertanian (Alsintan) tersebut diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas lahan dan tenaga kerja, mempercepat dan mengefisiensikan proses, dan sekaligus menekan biaya produksi.

Mesin tanam bibit padi ini direkayasa ulang dari transplanter metode tanam 30×30 cm. Rice Transplanter ini  terdiri atas lima bagian utama, yaitu sistem penanaman dan sistem pengumpan bibit padi metode tanam Jajar Legowo 2:1, sistem transmisi dan penggerak, sistem kendali,  rangka utama, serta unit pelampung. Mesin ini mempunyai dimensi 2480 x 1700 x 860 mm, bobot 178 kg, daya penggerak 5,5 HP dan menggunakan metode pembibitan sistem dapog.

Keunggulan mesin tanam bibit padi rice transplanter jajar legowo prototipe II ini adalah manuverability (kemudahan operasional), mampu menggantikan 20 tenaga kerja tanam/ha, kapasitas lapang 5-6 jam/ha sehingga mampu menurunkan kebutuhan tenaga kerja dan biaya tanam sekaligus mempercepat waktu tanam.

Teknologi ini dapat diterapkan dengan baik pada kondisi lahan dengan pengolahan tanah sempurna, memiliki  kedalaman kaki (foot  sinkage) 400-600 mm, serta  tinggi genangan air 30-100 mm.

Mesin rice transplanter jajar legowo prototipe II ini telah terdaftar paten dengan nomor pendaftaran paten : S-00201500619. Perusahaan yang telah melakukan kerjasama lisensi ada 6 perusahaan, meliputi : PT. Lambang Jaya, PT. Bahagia Jaya Sejahtera, PT. Pura Barutama, PT. Sarandi Karya Nugraha, PT. Rutan dan CV.
